Jewish Youth Library

​

The Jewish Youth Library of Ottawa is a non-profit, charitable organization that has been benefitting the Ottawa community since 1983.  The JYL was founded in order to promote education, literacy, heritage, culture, and inclusion in the Capital Region.  Over the years the JYL has grown to include several wonderful programs and services, including:

 

  • Friendship Circle, which is a non-sectarian program where teenage and university volunteers offer support and friendship to a child with special needs;

  • Adult Education Workshops and Classes;

  • Westboro Jewish Montessori Preschool, which offers a creative Jewish environment so that children can learn and grow;

  • Camp Gan Israel, which offers a summer day camp to children and includes professional swimming lessons; and

  • Library Services, the Library holds a wide array of historical, cultural, and children’s books and is open to the general public.
