The Ottawa Seniors' Health and Wellness Guide

In conjunction with the Jewish Youth Library of Ottawa (www.jewishyouthlibrary.com) and funding from New Horizons for Seniors Program.

This resource will be a comprehensive bilingual guide created for seniors by seniors.  Available in both print and online versions, it will include information such as featured recipes, stories and photos submitted by Ottawa seniors.

Thank you to our senior volunteers who submitted recipes and and answered all the wellness-related questions on our Vibrantly Healthy Seniors' survey. Volunteers are welcome to take part in the next stage of the project: testing the recipes and fitness tips we accumulated from this research. Here are the dishes and dates that we will be cooking at coordinator, Elinore Rabin's home in Westboro. Please Note: October 16, we welcome participants to join certified trainer Debora Sloan for a complimentary fitness class at McKellar Park! First 10 volunteers to reserve a spot will receive a free set resistance bands to use in the class and take home. We invite all Ottawa seniors to participate.
